# Creating an Account

Getting started with Uniocean takes less than a minute. No crypto experience required.

## Sign-Up Options

Users can sign in using:

* **Email** — Enter your email and verify with a code
* **Google** — One-click sign-in with your Google account
* **Existing crypto wallet** — Connect MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, or other supported wallets

## Step-by-Step

1. Visit the platform
2. Click **Sign In**
3. Choose your preferred login method
4. Accept the platform terms
5. Optionally enter a referral code
6. Access your account immediately

## Automatic Wallet Creation

No crypto experience is required.

The platform automatically creates a secure embedded wallet for users who do not connect an existing wallet. This wallet is:

* Created instantly during signup
* Secured by enterprise-grade key management
* Fully functional for predictions, rewards, and withdrawals
* Invisible during normal use — no seed phrases or manual management

This means users do not need to:

* Manage seed phrases or private keys
* Install browser extensions (like MetaMask)
* Manually sign every blockchain transaction
* Pay gas fees for any platform action
* Understand blockchain addresses or networks

## For Existing Crypto Users

Users who already have a crypto wallet can connect it directly. Connected wallets work identically to embedded wallets on the platform — predictions, rewards, and withdrawals all function the same way.

## Account Security

* Authentication is handled by Privy, a purpose-built Web3 authentication system
* Sessions are secured with encrypted cookies
* Accounts can be linked to multiple login methods for recovery
* No passwords are stored by the platform

## Referral Code

If someone invited you, enter their referral code during signup. This:

* Links your account to the referral system
* Earns your referrer commission from your future activity
* Does not affect your rewards in any way

## After Signup
